A flash of red, a tap of the heel, a strum of the Flamenco Guitar, the sights that greet you at the Andalucia. It’s all about the Duende, the elusive spirit that inflames art like flamenco in the Andalucia. Duende is a moment of heightened emotion experienced during an artistic performance, and it can be soulfully evoked in Andalucía if you mingle in the right places. It’s what great playwrights and poets immortalized in operas and vividly depicted in 19th-century artworks depicting Spaniards as fiesta-loving, guitar-wielding troubadours, reckless bullfighters, feisty operatic heroines and roguish Roma singers wailing sad laments. It’s magical, it’s passionate, it’s what your soul keeps searching for!
