Diary Of A Wombat

Australia is a fun place to be, with world class entertainment happening at every major city. This trip takes you on an epic, busy, all encompassing trip to every “must-see” place in Australia. Starting with Melbourne and ending with Sydney. The Great Barrier Reef, the Twelve Apostles, the Kuranda rainforest and more such wonderful places, guaranteeing a lifetime of beautiful memories.

We are sure you know, Wombats are cuddly-looking, slow-moving Australian animals. Their favorite activities are eating, sleeping, and digging holes. They are insanely cute. And yes, you can see them on this trip. Along with some Koala Bears, Kangaroos, and Wombats. And many more such cute animals.

For the three million people who call it home, Melbourne is a city of Victorian-era buildings, parks and gardens and leafy boulevards, of which the inhabitants are justifiably proud. It's vibrant, yet doesn't have the brash Sydney culture and its multicultural thanks to the many immigrants who've helped shape its history. The gold rush saw Melbourne thrive and become the financial and manufacturing centre of Australia. Since then there has been a steady influx of people from all over the world, enriching its city character.
On arrival in Melbourne you will be transferred to your hotel. We can recommend luxurious Crown Towers, beautifully located on the southern bank of the Yarra River in Melbourne. Lavishly appointed and offering an impeccable standard of customer service and attention to detail, Crown Towers is a hotel that truly understands the meaning of opulence. The hotel has its own entertainment complex with 40 restaurants and bars – some of them overlooking the Yarra River.

Today it’s time to check out this historic city. Starting at 8.30 AM, get in on the seat-in-coach basis tour that will last approximately 4 hours.
Melbourne is Australia’s second largest city, renowned for the arts, a dynamic food culture, cutting-edge architecture, brilliant shopping and its passion for sports. On this tour, you will see:
Captain Cook’s Cottage: The cottage rebuilt in the picturesque Fitzroy Gardens to commemorate the voyages of Captain James Cook, discoverer of Australia.
Queen Victoria Market: The historic Melbourne landmark dating back to more than 120 years ago. It is said to be the southern hemisphere’s largest open-air market offering a variety of fresh farm produce. On Sundays, there is a wider range of merchant items which turn the market into a modern Arabian Nights bazaar.
Fitzroy Gardens: City Gardens established in the early 19th century.
The Shrine of Remembrance: Victoria's memorial to the men and women who served Australia in armed conflicts throughout our Nation's history.
Albert Park: The park is the focus for many of Victoria's spectacular events and is also an important sanctuary for wildlife and vegetation. It is also home to the Australian Formula One Grand Prix.
The tour will end with a delightful cruise on the Yarra river giving you a different view of the city.
Explore the evening at your leisure. We do make recommendations. Visit the Melbourne Cricket Ground or hire bicycles at the central Federation Square and go for a round along the Yarra river front right up to the Zoo.

The Great Ocean Road

Another early start for the day takes you to the Great Ocean Road. Hop on the full day coach tour. Travel via the city of Geelong and Corio Bay. View the popular coastal townships of Torquay and Lorne - a surfer's haven and retreat. Pass by the world famous Bells Beach, home to World Surfing Championships. Travel the length of the Great Ocean Road passing towering limestone cliffs, sweeping white beaches and stunning forest scenery.
It truly is one of the world's great scenic coastal drives. Witness a fabulous spectacle of massive natural erosion. Contrasts abound between rugged coast and verdant rainforest living side by side.
Highlight of the tour is the majestic Twelve Apostles - limestone stacks rising dramatically from the Southern Ocean. Walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the scenery from various viewing platforms. Check out the Loch Ard Gorge and be swept away by the romantic and tragic story of love and lives lost aboard the Loch Ard.
Next explore Port Campbell National Park. Discover the tragic history of over 50 ships wrecked along this rugged coastline. Continue beyond Port Campbell to the remnants of London Bridge.
Return and overnight in Melbourne.
